Annual Conference 2022

Conference 2022 – The Secret of Successful Parks Partnerships

Our 2022 conference brought together expertise from government, academics, and case studies from local authorities and trusts to explore the principles of creating successful civic enterprise and partnership models, and how these support creating a space (placemaking) and ensure its longevity (placekeeping).

Thursday 10 November 2022. 9.30am – 3.30pm

Midlands Arts Centre (MAC), Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham

Presentations and workshops

Speakers presented civic enterprise, alliance and partnership models, exploring the skill base, financial capital, communication and commitment required, and how to progress from individual collaborations into high-capacity green space partnerships, placing communities and the natural environment at the heart of decision making.

The afternoon session comprised of six workshop sessions, two of which are accessible here.
