What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect data from visitors to our web site, and from organisations who register as members via other communication methods. This enables us to provide a membership service to you.
We will not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it without your permission, and we promise to keep it safe and secure.
Embedded content, including information from other websites
The articles we publish on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images, and written articles.
This includes webinars, which are recordings from on-line learning events, and frequently include contributions from third parties. We always seek permission from contributors before events, enabling us to record this information, and share it on our web site.
We publish articles that also include embedded content from other websites, which behave in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These external websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We measure how many people are using our services, so that they can be made easier to use.
How long we retain your data
We retain contact details of members, which includes up to three members of local authorities and parks trusts. If individuals leave the employment of that membership organisation, we will remove you as a contact, and any accompanying data will be removed.
We retain personal data of trustees and volunteers, whilst they are actively involved in supporting our organisation.
Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you are a member, ex-member, trustee or volunteer with Midlands Parks Forum, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
